Romeo and Juliet, Act two, scene two.

Summary- Act two, scene two

After Benvolio and Mercutio leave, Romeo hides in the orchard near where Juliet is standing. Juliet doesn’t know that Romeo is with her and he talks about her, how Juliet is the sun and she is far more beautiful than the moon that it replaces. Juliet asks herself why she is a capulet, and if she swore her love for Romeo she would be able to change her name to Montague. “Oh, Romeo, Romeo, why do you have to be Romeo? Forget about your father and change your name. Or else, if you won’t change your name, just swear you love me and I’ll stop being a Capulet.” Romeo appears and Juliet is surprised, and wonders how he found her and Romeo says that her love led him to her. Juliet knows that he’ll be killed if he’s found with her but Romeo stays. Juliet says she feels the same way about Romeo but juliet thinks it happened too quick, so Romeo swears to love Juliet and says he would do anything for her and all that. The nurse calls her, and she goes inside for a minute and then she comes back out and Romeo says they will get married tomorrow if he really loved her. Juliet sets a time for nine in the morning and then they leave.
